Programme Description
A series of workshop sessions (10) per group of fifteen to twenty female youth. Inside & Out of school females. Life skills, using Arts as the methodology. Interwoven in each 2 - 4 hour session will included life skills training, dialogue coaching, creative expression, social entrepreneurship, events and community mentorship. The project is a platform for young women to: Increase self-awareness and self-knowledge Increase self-confidence and self-esteem Develop and stimulate their creativity and use of artistic expression to find their voices and express themselves Learn life skills, stress release and energizing techniques Dialogue on relevant issues affecting young women. Social Entrepreneurship and further opportunities AIMS & OBJECTIVES 1. Encourage a sense of pride amongst youth in communities 2. Encourage and promote reading, dialogue and hope 2. Unleashing the true potential of young talented females & youth in general. 3. Creating platforms/ opportunities for products and service created by youth to be sold/hired. 4. Encourage interaction between the youth and their communities by hosting local events and contribute to sustainability. As the project progresses the different communities we work with will cross pollinate.
