Our ASAP programs sees over 120 children attending dance and drama classes in primary and high schools in the lower income areas of Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape. Our facilitators are drawn from the immediate communities and act as teachers and mentors for these young performers. As much as this is a program to develop performance skills its focus also lies very strongly on developing these young people as empowered individuals through various life skills objectives. These include developing confidence, team work, discipline and respect of self an other. The program has been running for 7 years and provides employment to 4 facilitators. 2 showcases are held each year and the kids perform shows for to packed halls of heir parents and friends.
