Programme Description
Our key focus areas
• Assisting Grade R to secondary school learners with their homework.
• Providing an Extra Mural Stimulation Programme.
• Liaison with the community and relevant stakeholders
• Aftercare Services and Programmes
Through this intervention we will continue to ensure that the most vulnerable sectors in our area have access to quality learning opportunities etc. to better their education to contribute productively to society. The community at large will also benefit as services and programmes will be offered such as education and health awareness and nutrition and development programmes.
To provide our learners from the underprivileged community with nutritional meals on a daily basis
• To continue providing our learners with access to transportation from the local schools to the After Care Centre.
• Strengthening our Innovative services and programmes by focussing on:
- Holistic, Continuous and Strength Based Assessment focussing on the 4 areas of Development
- Stimulation programme focussing on the Educational Curriculum programme includes children with special needs.
- External community service providers assist with health and lifestyle programmes.
- Personal Development/ Life skills
- Sport and Recreation and holiday programmes
-- Multi-disciplinary approach to services delivery to the child and family:
- Liaison with health services
- Liaison with the local schools
- Liaison with the parents of the learners
- Community Liaison
