Programme Description
Toevlug Centre’s inpatient youth treatment programme provides a structured, therapeutic environment for boys between the ages of 13 - 17 years old requiring intensive support related to substance use and associated behavioural challenges. The programme is guided by a behaviour change model and focuses on developing responsibility, emotional regulation, and healthy decision-making.
Learners participate in individual and group therapy, life skills development, educational support, and daily routines that promote stability and growth. Families are actively involved in the treatment process to strengthen support systems and improve long-term outcomes.
The programme prioritises safety, respect, and personal development, creating an environment where young people can build resilience, restore healthy functioning, and work toward sustainable change.
